Remember the Renault Motors shared mobility concept that debuted at the 2020 Auto Show? It is finally in production as the company launched its latest Renault kwid van. In India starting price range will be Rs 7 lakh in multiple variants available. It is shipped to dealerships next month with delivery beginning after shortly. The new Renault kwid will be available in three wheelbase sizes 3731 mm, 1579 mm, and 1474 mm.

For according to the company, The New Renault kwid is not only built on a fully ground-up modular monocoque panel van platform, but it also offers crash and rollover compliance with airbags for the driver and co-driver.
In terms of features, the Renault kwid has large, ventilated disc brakes on all four wheels, as well as ESP, ABS, EBD, and ETDC. According to the company, the new Renault kwid also has independent front suspension with transverse springs for improved passenger ride and handling characteristics. Dual airbags, collapsible steering, and hill-hold assist are among the features available on the Renault kwid.
In terms of mechanicals, the Renault kwid is powered by a 113 bhp, BS6, CRDe Mercedes-Benz engine producing 350 Nm of peak torque and mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. According to the company, the installed capacity in phase one is 1,000 vehicles per month, which can be increased to 2,000 units per month.
