Mercedes-Benz is set to kick off the new year with the launch of a new five-seater variant of the EQS 450 SUV on January 9th, 2025. This new model will be unveiled alongside the production-ready EQG at the company’s annual press conference.
The new EQS 450 SUV will feature a distinctive “Electric Art” exterior design package, 21-inch black alloy wheels, and luxurious interior appointments. It will also come equipped with an advanced air purification system, known as “Energizing Air Control Plus.”
Powering this electric SUV is a 122kWh battery pack, the largest battery capacity offered in the Indian market. This powerful battery, combined with dual electric motors, promises an even longer range than the current seven-seater EQS SUV, which already boasts an impressive 809km range.
Mercedes-Benz aims to appeal to families seeking a two-row electric SUV with a slightly extended range. The new five-seater EQS 450 SUV is expected to be a compelling option for those who prioritize both luxury and sustainability.
The interior of the new Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 SUV is a technological marvel, featuring a stunning MBUX Hyperscreen. This futuristic setup comprises a 12.3-inch digital display for the driver and passenger, along with a 17.7-inch infotainment system. To keep rear passengers entertained, the SUV offers dual 11.6-inch rear entertainment screens.
For optimal comfort, the vehicle boasts multi-zone climate control with air purification, heated and ventilated front seats with memory and massage functions, and an optional panoramic glass roof. The Burmester 3D sound system with 15 speakers delivers an immersive audio experience. To enhance convenience, the SUV offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, front and rear wireless chargers, soft-close doors, puddle lamps, and illuminated running boards.
